Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 6, 2026

Legendary Laundromat and Car Wash, LLC ("Legendary," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit legendarylaundromat.com (the "Website") or use our self-serve laundromat and car wash facility at 221 S Somonauk Rd, Cortland, IL 60112 (the "Facility") — and how we use, store, and share that information. By using the Website or the Facility, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information we need to operate the Facility, respond to issue reports, and improve the customer experience.

Report an Issue Submissions

When you submit the Report an Issue form on our Website, we may collect:

  • Your name (if you choose to provide it — the form allows anonymous submissions)
  • Your email address or phone number (if you want a follow-up)
  • Which service the issue relates to (laundromat, car wash, or general facility)
  • The specific machine, bay, or location on the property, plus a description of the problem
  • Optional photos of the issue

Security Camera Footage

The Facility is monitored by security cameras 24 hours a day, both inside and outside the building. Cameras record video (not audio) of the laundromat interior, car wash bays, vacuum area, and parking lot. Footage is retained for a limited period and used only to protect customers, employees, and property; to investigate damage, theft, or misuse; and to cooperate with law enforcement when lawfully required. Cameras do not record inside restrooms.

Payment Information

Legendary is coin-operated only. No cards are accepted, so no payment card data is collected or stored. Coin transactions are anonymous.

Website Usage Information

When you visit legendarylaundromat.com, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically collect basic technical information — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent, and referring source. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and which need work.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information when you submit the Report an Issue form on our Website, email or otherwise contact us, use the Facility (via security cameras), or browse our Website (technical and analytics data is collected automatically).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to respond to issue reports and follow up with you if you left contact information; track and repair broken equipment; process refund requests for machines that took payment without running; maintain a record of maintenance and repair history for the Facility; monitor and protect the safety of customers, employees, and property; improve our Website and communications with customers; and comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your information to anyone. Period.

4. Photos and Marketing

We may photograph and record video of the Facility — the exterior, interior, machines, bays, and general customer activity — and use those images in marketing materials, on our Website, on Google Business Profile, and on social media. Photos are focused on the property and the equipment.

If a customer's face or vehicle license plate appears clearly in a photo intended for public marketing use, we will either blur those details or obtain permission before publishing. Security camera footage is separate from marketing photography and is never used for marketing purposes. If you would prefer not to appear in any marketing photo or video taken during your visit, submit a Report an Issue and we will remove or blur your image.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Website uses cookies and similar technologies to function correctly and to help us understand how the site is used. See our Cookie Policy for the specifics.

6. Third-Party Services

Our Website and operations rely on a handful of third-party services. Each has its own privacy practices:

  • Webflow — website hosting
  • JotForm — secure form processing for the Report an Issue form
  • Google Analytics — traffic and usage analytics
  • Microsoft Clarity — anonymous session recording and heatmaps used to improve the Website
  • Google Maps — service location map embedded on the Website
  • Google Search Console / Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools — search performance and indexing diagnostics
  • Google Business Profile — listing visibility and customer reviews
  • Vimeo and YouTube — video content embedded on the Website
  • Google reCAPTCHA — spam and bot prevention on our forms
  • Email and phone providers — handling your messages

We do not control these third parties' privacy practices. We choose reputable providers and limit the data we share to what is needed. Information you submit through JotForm goes to JotForm's servers in addition to ours. Each provider has its own privacy policy you can review on their websites.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. That includes using HTTPS encryption on our Website, limiting access to issue reports and camera footage to the people who need it, and securing our devices and accounts with standard protections. No system is perfectly secure. If you ever have a concern about how your information is being handled, contact us and we will address it.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You may at any time request a copy of the information we have about you, ask us to correct or update inaccurate information, ask us to delete your information (subject to any record-keeping obligations we have for warranty, tax, safety, or legal reasons), or withdraw consent for future communications. To make a request, submit a Report an Issue with the details of your request.

9. Children's Privacy

The Website and the Facility are intended for adults, or for minors accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through the Website. If a parent or guardian believes their child has submitted information through our Website, contact us and we will remove it.

10. External Links

Our Website may link to third-party websites — for example, review platforms (Google, Yelp) or social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when our business practices change or when new tools are added to our Website. When we update it, we will change the Last Updated date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be communicated more directly when appropriate.
